Hi there, I’m guessing that you’re reading this page because you wanna see where all this info is coming from and what our angle is on this whole energy efficiency and sustainability thing. My name is Joshua Fletcher, and since 2004 I have been working in renewable energy and sustainability. In 2008, I started this company and have been consulting and providing energy related contracting ever since.
I chose this route because I saw way too many companies duping their customers, really jumping on the “green” bandwagon and selling the same old stuff under a different label. Many of the larger companies providing solar panels and home performance solutions are just telemarketing companies that starting pointing their phones at potential customers in this market. More power to them, but all of our solutions are 100% customized for each situation we find. If you need duct sealing and your insulation is working properly, have no need for a solar water heater because you don’t bathe and have a lot of shade trees in your back yard that you and your bird friends love, we aren’t going to try to convince you that “going solar” is what you should do.
I’m in this industry to really try to promote and grow sustainable local economies and communities. I don’t like chopping down trees to put up a solar panel and I don’t try to sell you on the tax credits available for solar water heaters if you don’t need or want any tax credits.
I’m a trained home and commercial energy auditor, I attended Harvard to study building science and sustainability in graduate school (don’t hold this against me), and the “product” I value most in my business is my relationship with my customers. I live in central Phoenix, I attended ASU and I have a great little family here.
EcoBuilt is not a large production company. We aren’t Walmart and don’t want to be. I still perform 70% of my building energy assessments for our company and teach each of our 500+ customers how their building is currently performing and what can be done to improve things.
Presenting you with the financing information you need from federal agencies, the states, and utilities that offer rebates, incentives, and tax credits to promote energy efficiency.
How well do you really know your home and how it’s been built? You want to ensure that your home has been built correctly, is in good condition, and promotes the safety and health for everyone in it.
Solar power is not for everyone. But for those of you who are can find extremely valuable use of solar panels for an off-grid power experience to save tens of thousands of dollars.
From the envelope of your home to the appliances and hardware that you use every day. Choosing energy efficient upgrades cut back on your energy consumption, lower our strain on our resources, and lower your electric bills substantially.

Our family had no idea how much money we were just throwing away. EcoBuilt's strategies are going to save us over $29,371. I'm so glad my family is going to be able to keep that money instead of our utility company and mortgage bank...
Ecobuilt set me up with my solar hot water heater 3 years ago and I still love it. I live in the Arizona desert and haven't had an electric bill over $50 since in a 3,000 square foot home. My home's energy efficient and my ROI schedule of 5 years is right on track.
I couldn't believe the results of my home energy audit. I thought I needed a new AC unit but it was my windows, doors and insulation that were the problem. A 1 day repair job and my electric bill dropped immediately!
